Wassaic Project

The Wassaic Project is a non-profit artist-run arts, community and art education space in Wassaic, New York founded in 2008 that hosts festivals, community events and year-round artist residencies. Currently it consists of a year-round competitive residency program and summer arts programming which culminate in a large, free summer festival (usually in August)- Wikipedia.

“We’re of and for Wassaic, not just in it. Our artists-in-residence live right in town. We work out of refurbished historic buildings. And our festivals and exhibitions are free and open to the public. Wassaic is our home, and that informs everything we do.” (Wassaic Project)

Eric Millikin

Eric Millikin is a conceptual activist new media artist based in Detroit, Michigan, and Richmond, Virginia. Millikin comes from a working-class family, growing up in a mobile home in rural Michigan, the son of a laid-off auto worker and a Denny’s waitress. The activist themes of his work often seek to change the types of prejudices and exploitation he has seen in the industrial Midwest. Millikin is a first-generation college student who attended Michigan State University with multiple academic scholarships, including a National Merit Scholarship, and he is a recent MFA graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University's prestigious Kinetic Imaging program. Coming out of an isolated rural area, Millikin's strategy is now to reach as wide an audience as possible in order to affect maximum social change. He has recently exhibited in 20 venues within a year’s time, and his work has been exhibited in museums and galleries from Detroit, Denver, and Dubai to San Francisco, Scotland, and South Korea. His artwork has been featured in WIRED, USA TODAY, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, and The New York Times Sunday Arts section.

Pyasa Neko Siff

Pyasa is a certified 5-MeO-DMT facilitator by the 5-MeO-DMT Information and Vital Education Center in Mexico.

She was introduced to the world of healing and psychedelics in the early 90’s and attributes her mental well-being and joy for life to the therapeutic power of psychedelic medicines and the wise, loving guides who supported her on her path. Her journey of recovery from complex PTSD and depression, (a result of early childhood traumas), cultivated within her a profound compassion and empathy for others facing similar challenges; her experiences sparked her desire to support others in their healing process and motivated her pursuit of education in the field of trauma, and somatic healing.

Five Points Center for the Arts

Five Points grew out of the Torrington Arts and Culture Commission’s 2012 initiative, Art Space Torrington, a temporary 840 square foot summer storefront gallery located in the heart of Torrington’s historic downtown district. The success of the summer initiative led to the founding of Five Points Gallery, a permanent non-profit 501(c)(3) visual arts organization dedicated to the belief that contemporary art is a vital component of human understanding.
