* you will be asked on the exam to write two paragraphs on either Blues of Rock and Roll.  You need to tell me about its origins, elements and key musicians.  You will be allowed to bring in your notes on a small 5-7 card.

Listening:

* you will be asked to listen to some examples and identify the following time signatures 2/4,3/4, 4/4.  You will need to identify instruments and you will need to identify styles of music: Romantic (Beethoven), Nationalistic, Electronic or Blues.
